Your privacy and data security are the fundamental principles of Wingene VIDA. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when using our application (“App”).
By using Wingene VIDA, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Where is your data stored?
Wingene VIDA is an application focused on your privacy. We (the developers) do not have our own servers to store your diary entries.

Local Storage: All your texts, ratings, tags, and metadata are saved locally, only on your device.

Cloud Storage (Backup): If you choose to enable synchronization, the App will back up your data exclusively to your personal Google Drive account, in a private folder invisible to the end-user, managed by the App itself. We do not have any access to your Google Drive account or the files saved there.
Encryption and Security (End-to-End)
Your entries can be encrypted end-to-end.

By setting a Backup Password in the application, the file sent to your Google Drive will be encrypted using the advanced security standard AES.

We do not have access to your password. If you forget it, we will not be able to recover or decrypt your data, ensuring that no one but you can read your entries.
Use of Google Account (Google Sign-In and Drive)
Wingene VIDA requests sign-in with your Google Account strictly for two purposes:

To grant permission for the App to create and modify backup files in your own Google Drive.

To anonymously and securely link your account to manage premium subscriptions across your devices (via RevenueCat).

The App does not read files from other applications in your Google Drive, does not access your emails, and does not collect your contact list.

The use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other application comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (Gemini Integration)
The App offers the optional functionality of using AI to analyze and categorize your entries.

Texts are sent to the Google Gemini API anonymously.

We use the API in the paid tier (“Pay-tier”). According to Google’s terms, your data is not used to train Google’s artificial intelligence models.

Texts are processed in real-time and discarded by the AI service, without us or Google storing them for other purposes.
Third-Party Services and Analytics
To ensure operation, stability, and subscription management, we use the following third-party tools, which process data anonymously:

Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics: Collects application crash reports and anonymous usage data (such as button clicks) to help us fix errors and improve the experience. They do not have access to your diary texts.

RevenueCat: Service used to process subscriptions and payments for the Premium version. It associates the purchase status with your anonymous ID or Google ID but does not have access to sensitive financial data (credit card numbers), which are managed directly and exclusively by the Google Play Store.

- Biometric Authentication

The application lock function uses your own device’s hardware and operating system (Fingerprint, Face ID, PIN). No biometric data is collected by the App or sent to the cloud.
Data Deletion
You have total control over your data. Directly through the application (in the “Settings” menu), you can:

Delete your automatic backups locally.

Delete entries individually.

Disconnect your Google Drive account. To permanently delete backups in the cloud, simply access your Google Drive account settings via browser (Settings > Manage Apps > Wingene VIDA > Delete hidden app data).
Changes to this Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We recommend that you review this page periodically for any changes. Modifications become effective immediately upon being posted on this page.
